More flexibility – more autonomy – more practical software intelligence: The automation specialist BOWE will be present at LogiMAT 2026 with new solutions and innovative concepts – and with full GROUP presence. In addition to introducing the Modular Vertical Sorter (MVS), a live demonstration of the seamless integration of its Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) will attract special attention!
LogiMAT 2026 is all about the new opportunities that AI offers in combination with digitalization and automation. And with these success factors in mind, expectations for the three trade show days, from March 24 to 26, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center will be particularly high this year. An attendance of over 65,000 participants is expected at more than 1,600 exhibitors. Approximately 70,000 square meters of exhibition space are available for showcasing new technologies, processes and products in the field of intralogistics.
BOWE GROUP – AT FULL GROUP POWER
In line with the trade show's focus on software intelligence and automation as success factors, the BOWE GROUP will be at LogiMAT at full "GROUP power" to demonstrate the combined strengths of BOWE INTRALOGISTICS with those of its MOVE and IQ divisions. This is the logical consequence of developments over recent years, as emphasized by BOWE GROUP Managing Director Joachim Koschier: “Nowadays, automation is a must for logistics companies. The ability to deliver goods rapidly, accurately and reliably is one of the fundamental requirements in the logistics sector today. Automation not only increases delivery performance but also helps to keep operating costs within control. These key factors have recently led to a significant increase in demand for our solutions." To achieve transparency in this area, BOWE uses a range of tracking technologies, including real-time location systems (RTLS) and radio frequency identification (RFID). This not only allows processes to be monitored with individual precision, but these systems can also initiate alerts for human intervention or initiate automated actions, such as the pick-up of a cart by an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR). Koschier: “Our objective is to provide comprehensive, ready-to-implement solutions for a diverse range of customers, including retailers, post and parcel companies amongst others. At the same time, we are equally committed to supporting any customer seeking to automate only a single process, if clear benefits can be achieved.”
LIVE PRESENTATION OF AN AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOT (AMR) AND SOFTWARE
The approximately 50 square meters of the BOWE booth at LogiMAT will be used to give industry professionals a clear impression of the interlocking intralogistics solutions offered by the automation specialist. Visually, the highlight of BOWE's trade show appearance is undoubtedly the live presentation of the Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR). This type of robot independently can even handle complex logistics tasks. At the trade show, it will be demonstrated in live interaction with a sorting output bin (chute), representing a sorting system from the extensive BOWE INTRALOGISTICS portfolio. Once the cart positioned at the sorter's chute is filled with parcels, the integrated BOWE IQ software automatically detects it. The cart is then autonomously collected and repositioned by the AMR. Unlike other mobile robots on the market, the demonstrated BOWE TugBot can pick up the load carrier without manual intervention and even park in reverse.
Also showcased in conjunction with the AMR is the BOWE IQ collision avoidance system. This alerts employees when a robot is approaching and prevents accidents during real-world operations. Just as sophisticated as the flexible movement profile of the AMR is the intelligence of the software interface that underpins the mobile robot. This allows trade show visitors to not only gain insight into the underlying software alongside the robot's movements on the screen – understanding the scanning and tracking processes happening in the background – but also to see how projects are realized from conception to operational deployment.
MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY WITH THE MODULAR VERTICAL SORTER (MVS)
Another key topic from the BOWE GROUP at the trade show will be the Modular Vertical Sorter (MVS). Its uniqueness lies in its extraordinary flexibility. As its name suggests, the sorter is modular and linearly designed. The newly designed sorter can be equipped and set up with additional trays and chutes according to customer preferences. This allows it to grow with the operation’s needs. Bas van der Velden, Director INTRALOGISTICS BOWE GROUP, states: "The MVS is the only sorter built for true adaptability, deliverable within approximately three months and expandable or relocatable within a week. In an industry where change is the only constant, the MVS ensures you’re always one step ahead."
