Even though there is no drupa this year in Düsseldorf, BOWE SYSTEC (formerly BÖWE SYSTEC) is launching a complete range of machines that can handle any requirement, with consistent automation across all speed classes, smart software and a couple of clever new features. Complex jobs, a wide range of formats and enclosures, those “infamous” last minute orders; anyone who wants to survive and thrive in this demanding business really has to have technology that keeps pace with the ever-increasing requirements. A high level of automation, stable and reliable processing, together with high net output are the order of the day. BOWE SYSTEC, the Augsburg technology supplier, has therefore made the ongoing development of highly efficient systems a priority alongside the consistent integration of its inserting systems.

For over ten years, BOWE SYSTEC’s Fusion Cross high-speed inserter has been winning plaudits in the transactional and direct mail segments. A broad processing spectrum as well as its unique Flow-Principle inserting technology are the key features of this all-round inserting system. With the Flow-Principle, the filling speed is slowed down by a factor of 4.5 so that the actual inserting process is allowed more time, which means a variety of envelope formats and complex enclosures can be handled non-stop in an extremely stable and reliable production flow. The combination of this unique technology and a smart software package turns these inserters into intelligent systems. .

Three for all

This innovative technology platform has a new addition, and now includes three models that ensure that it offers the right system for any modern mail production center. “One machine type for all applications”, is how Joachim Koschier, Managing Director of BOWE GROUP, sums things up. BOWE SYSTEC’s Fusion Cross offers the maximum flexibility. Formats from B6+ to B4 and #7 3/4 to Flats as well as a wide variety of enclosures up to a thickness of 15 mm and a weight of 1 kg can be processed reliably and non-stop – and all at an impressive speed of 24,000 per hour. Anyone looking for a jack of all trades will find this one is the master of them all. The new Fusion Speed offers top speeds of up to 30,000 envelopes per hour and really lives up to its name. “At up to 30,000 envelopes per hour, the Fusion Speed is undoubtedly the fastest and most efficient inserting system in the market”, states Joachim Koschier and adds: “Customers will find that this new high-speed inserter will pay for itself in no time at all through its outstanding speed and reliability.” The system can handle a range of formats from B6+ to B5 and #7 3/4 to 6 x 9, and need fear no comparison when it comes to processing enclosures. Its performance parameters result in the highest net output in the industry. In order to allow its operators to keep pace with this level of performance, the machine offers a high degree of automation and paves the way for the automated mailroom. An intelligent system for the automated filling of postal trays, for example, is already integrated as standard. The Fusion Speed is the ideal system for anyone who doesn’t need to process large formats, but is looking for maximum output with the minimum of staff. The new Fusion Lite offers top of the range technology at a particularly attractive price. Capable of up to 16,000 envelopes per hour, it completes the trio. It, too, uses the Flow-Principle and can handle the complete range of formats from B6+ to B4 and #7 3/4 to Flats, whilst leaving nothing to be desired when it comes to processing enclosures.

However, productivity and flexibility are not just a question of speed. It is in combination with smart software that the strengths of the three systems really come to the fore. Thanks to the intuitive BOWE Cockpit control software, the preparation for and production of jobs is made significantly easier. Format changes are carried out automatically, changeover and therefore downtimes are cut to a minimum. Errors are avoided. Small batch processing software allows multiple small jobs to be processed seamlessly and non-stop off the roll.
